After discussion on the forum it was decided that 27th June would be Ballpoint's "World Michael Day". We have a few plans for you which we hope you will enjoy being part of and people who visit the site have come up with their own ideas as well. They will involve everyone who visits Ballpoint and for the finale we will need the whole World's help to make it work.
One thing we would like you to do
is to get Michael played on the radio on 27th June 2001. This is starting
to become an 'old favourite' and more and more are joining in, both fans
and radio stations!!
So start those requests rolling

The other thing we would like you to do for us is to visit our polling booth and vote for your favourite Michael CD. This is a 'crazy mode' voting booth … there are no rules … you can vote as often as you like :-) The booth will close on 18th June. We will tell you nearer the day what we are collecting this information for.
We have designed a World Michael Day Poster for you which you can use to advertise the Day. You can either print it direct from the page - or right click and save the poster to your computer and then open in any imaging programme - this avoids having the internet information printed on the page.
We have also added some writing paper and stamps - another way of advertising :-)
We have had the theme tune from 'Friends' rewritten for World Michael Day ... to celebrate all the friends we have made through Michael.
Some fans are creating a World Michael Day Menu which we will have on Ballpoint, complete with recipes. A 'Michael' cocktail has been created with a juice mix for none drinkers and Michael's young fans. People have arranged parties all over the world and we would like to know about these and maybe see some pictures : )
There will be a special book on Ballpoint for people to sign who have been involved in even the smallest way with World Michael Day, this will stay open for a while after the 27th for those people who can't get online that day or are sending their entries to someone with internet access by traditional mail.
Roses are to be planted in each country taking part ... this has been arranged by some fans ... including a special Michael Ball rose.
A Birthday card is to travel the world.
Candles are being lit around the world in each country as they reach midnight on Michael's birthday and left burning for 24 hours.
What we want to achieve as the finale to World Michael Day is for this album to be played continuously for 24 hours all around the world.
Now this is where you all come in ... at 7.00 p.m. (1900 hours) in your own time zone please can you play This Time ... It's Personal for one hour. This will mean that as time moves round the planet Michael will be continuously played. If you don't have this CD then you can substitute it for one of your choice.
Please can you write on the forum
when you have played your hour and we will create a map of the world to
show the flow of Michael around the globe so you will watch it on Ballpoint
live. If you can't get internet access at the time add yours to the
forum when you can and we will add you to the map.
